Request Conflict Pairs

The Request Conflict Pairs display the number of students requesting each course and each course pair in a list format. For each course requested by at least one student, these reports show the number of requests for that course followed by a list of all courses requested at the same time by one or more students showing the number of requests for each course pair.

Use the Request Conflict Pairs to identify pairs of single or double section courses with students in common. Classes for these courses should, if possible, be scheduled at different times to avoid conflicts.

The Conflict Pairs by Enrollment/Request Pairs, displaying course pairs lists sorted by number of requests (enrollment) and list entries sorted in descending order of requests for the course pair, is displayed when this group of reports is started. From this window, you can navigate forward and backward through groups of request pair lists or switch to a different Request Conflict Pairs report.

Specify Maximum Enrollment and Sections for Courses Included in the Report

This feature allows you to filter out courses for which enrollment and specified number of sections are both larger than the limits you enter, making the report more concise and easier to use. Enter the numbers you want in the "Max enrollment" and "Max sections" boxes, then click Start and you will see the report showing only courses which have a total enrollment up to the maximum enrollment entered or a specified number of sections up to the maximum sections entered. The report selection uses the number of sections entered in the "Total Number of Sections" field in the Course atom/Schedule Pro tab; if this field is blank the report selection treats it as higher than the maximum sections value. You can force the report to select courses based on only one of the two available selection fields by setting the other one to 0.
