> Home > Scheduling Optimizer Reports > Resource Schedule Grids Resource Schedule GridsThe Resource Schedule Grids display individual teacher or room schedules in a grid, or matrix, format. One grid per term is generated for each teacher or room. The grids each show one row per period with sections placed in columns by day. Each course section entry displayed in the grid shows the course title, course ID-section sequence identifier (optional), teacher, room and number of students assigned (optional). Use these reports to display and print individual teacher or room schedules. The reports include page break commands so that if you issue a print or print preview command, each teacher or room schedule begins on a new page with suitable heading lines.
The Teacher Resource Grids by Term, displaying teacher schedules in teacher name order within each term, is displayed when this group of reports is started.
Sample ReportsTeacher Schedule GridsThe teacher schedule grids display one row per period for each teacher in the master schedule showing the classes taught by the teacher in that period of each day during the selected term. A teacher’s grid for a given term is the same in each selectable teacher schedule report.
Room Schedule Grids by TermThe room schedule grids display one row per period for each room in the master schedule showing the classes meeting in the room in that period of each day during the selected term. A room’s grid for a given term is the same in each selectable room schedule report.
How to Select Other Resource Schedule Grids
What Resource Schedule Grids are AvailableResource Schedule Grids display individual schedules for teachers or rooms according to the view option selected. The following table shows the order in which data is presented for each view option. Run the Reports Demo to see samples of these reports.
How to Read the Resource Schedule GridsEach option of the Resource Schedule Grids displays all teacher or room schedules on the screen. The Show Report button displays (or redisplays) the current report selection with the specified options, starting at the beginning of the report. Use the scroll bar, arrow keys, Edit-Find command and other navigational mechanisms provided by the browser to move through the currently displayed report. For each term and resource (teacher or room), a title identifying the resource is displayed followed by the schedule data elements displayed in a grid with one row per period and one column per day. The following data elements are displayed.
Hiding Course-Section and Number of Students Assigned
In the Resource Schedule Grids, the data content of each cell depends on whether a teacher or room report option is selected, but all options display the combined course ID-section sequence and the number of students assigned for every class which appears. You can make the schedule grids more compact by specifying that either or both of the course-section and number of students assigned data fields not be displayed.
Printing the ReportThe report offers a printer friendly version. Read more about this. You can generate a printed set of individual teacher or room schedules by clicking the Print button in the "Printer friendly" window or selecting the browser’s Print command from the File menu. We recommend testing the print format before printing a complete set of schedules. To test, use the browser’s "Print Preview" feature or specify a small range of printed pages in the Print dialog which appears when you select a "Print" operation. You can also use the Print dialog to customize the header and footer sections added to each page of the printed report.
